About Deuce Court
Deuce Court is a tennis coaching site written for two readers who usually get served separately: the player who wants to understand what they are doing on court, and the parent trying to make good decisions about a child's coaching without having played the game at a high level themselves.
What you will find here
- Technique explained by cause and effect, not by copying a professional's finish.
- A whole section on the serve, because it is the one shot you fully control.
- Honest gear guidance: racquet sizing for juniors, strings, shoes, balls.
- Guides to competing, from a first tournament to building a match routine.
- Profiles of coaching philosophies, including Brad Gilbert, Nick Bollettieri and Rick Macci, and what a club player or junior can take from each.
How articles are written
Every article carries the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed. Technical advice is kept to what is broadly agreed among coaches; where schools of thought disagree, the article says so and gives the arguments rather than picking a side quietly.
How the site is funded
Some gear articles contain affiliate links. If you buy through one the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are never chosen for the commission; see the affiliate disclosure.
